Have you seen the viral chest-cam footage of 22-year-old Sophia Ross, a Hooters waitress from Sarasota, Florida, attempting to flirt her way out of a DUI? The incident happened in mid-November, but the video has taken social media by storm.
In the clip, Sophia tries everything—calling the officer “daddy,” suggesting they “make out,” and even telling him to stop being “such a nerd.” At one point, she pulls up her sweater to show off her Hooters uniform, as if that might sway his decision.
The officer initially pulled her over around 2:00 a.m., but it wasn’t until over an hour later that she was breathalyzed. Even then, her blood alcohol level registered a shocking .33—four times the legal limit.
Unsurprisingly, the flirting didn’t work. Sophia now faces a pretrial hearing tomorrow, and the internet has plenty to say about her ill-fated attempt at sweet-talking her way out of serious trouble.
