LEWISTON, Idaho — A person was killed when a vehicle went off the road and 200 feet down a ravine near Lewiston Monday morning.
According to the Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office, three people in a Toyota 4 Runner were driving on Old Spiral Highway about two miles north of Lewiston.
Deputies say the vehicle went off the road and down a ravine.
One of the occupants was able to walk to a nearby home and call for help.
The other two occupants had to be extricated, and one died at the scene. The other was taken to an area hospital.
The identity of the person killed will be released at a later time.
The Nez Perce County Major Collision Team is investigating and anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff’s office.
