SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane typically isn’t subject material in movies, books or music, but one local author has written a book as a ‘love letter’ to the Lilac City.
Author Megan Young has released a children’s book entitled ‘Kid & The Nothing-to-Do Year’ based around a curious goat ‘Kid’ and the Garbage Goat highlighting things to do around our area.
The book was illustrated by Whitworth grad and PNW-based Melissa Murakami.
Young recently sat down with KXLY’s Rob King to chat about writing the book and more. You can watch that interview above.
‘Kid & The Nothing-to-Do Year’ is available now at Auntie’s Bookstore and Wishing Tree Bookstore.
You can find out more about the book and future projects at GarbrageGoatandKid.com.
