SPOKANE, Wash. — Great news for Spokane ice skaters: the Skate Ribbon at Riverfront Park is officially open for the season.
You don’t have to be an expert to enjoy the ribbon. On opening day Saturday, people of all skill levels were out on the ice – some with a little more help.
Everyone who spoke with 4 News Now were excited to lace up their skates for this season.
“Super excited. Hyped Up. We love ice skating. We love going around. We come here a couple times during the year,” said ice skaters Jenny, Rachel and Isabella.
Despite the mild weather Saturday afternoon, Rachel said the ice was in pretty good shape.
“It’s actually super solid. It’s not melting or anything and turning into slush,” she said.
You can click here and buy a season pass for the Ice Ribbon at a discounted rate now until Nov. 22.
