SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — A suspect was arrested Wednesday afternoon for a hit-and-run crash at the intersection of East Appleway Avenue and North Corbin Road.
According to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, 28-year-old Tyler L. Adams, ran through a red light at the intersection and hit the victim’s car on the passenger side. The victim’s car flipped and Adams drove away from the scene.
SCSO said witnesses followed Adams on South Steen Road near the Appleway trail. Deputies showed up to both the scene of the crash and where witnesses said they followed Adams.
Deputies said when detained, Adams was emotional and claiming it was all his fault. SCSO said his eyes were bloodshot, his speech was slurred and they could smell alcohol on his breath.
The victim had minor injuries from the crash and was given medical attention.
Adams complained of pain and was taken to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation.
After being cleared by medical staff, Adams was booked into Spokane County Jail for felony hit-and-run and DUI charges.
