TIGER, Wash. — Travelers who use the Lost Creek Bridge on Highway 20, roughly five miles south of Tiger in Pend Oreille County, should plan additional travel time as crews prepare to close the bridge for repairs.
Full bridge closure
Starting at 6 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 7, crews will set up traffic control, with the full closure beginning around 9 a.m.
The bridge will remain closed through the week as crews replace deteriorated timber abutments and repair the roadway.
The goal is to reopen by Wednesday, Oct. 9, barring unforeseen issues.
Detour route
A signed detour will direct traffic from East 5th Avenue over the Pend Oreille River, onto Le Clerc Road north, and Sullivan Lake Road back to State Route 20 in Ione, adding approximately 10 minutes to travel time.
There will be no oversized vehicle restrictions for trucks using the detour.
