Our morning will be quiet, but wet weather is back in the forecast for later today.
Rain coverage will increase over Eastern Washington and North Idaho Thursday afternoon and evening, with amounts between 0.10 and 0.30 inches. Look for scattered showers in the afternoon followed by steadier rain in the evening and overnight.
A strong cold front moves behind the rain into north-central Washington tonight into Friday morning, bringing strong north wind gusts up to 45 mph in Central Washington. Windy conditions continue Friday morning, leading to patchy blowing dust and elevated fire weather conditions in the Okanogan Valley and Columbia Basin. A Wind Advisory is in effect on Friday for these areas. Temperatures will turn cooler Friday into the weekend, with many areas dropping into frosty and, in many cases, freezing temperatures early Saturday morning.
