Northern Lights Electric Cooperative posted there’s a large outage impacting its members, saying it’s “due to a transmission power outage from Bonneville Power Administration.”
According to a Facebook post, it appears the outage is affecting more than 5,000 members in northern Idaho and western Montana.
UPDATE at 2:45 p.m. from NLI:
Today’s outage is due to equipment failure and BPA is now working to energize the power lines. Members from Troy, Montana west across the Idaho Panhandle currently out of power will begin to have power restored over the next hour.
PLEASE NOTE: Members will experience additional blinks in power as additional lines are energized. Members in the Mt. Hall area will experience an extended outage.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
