If you’re a Swiftie, this week has been SO much fun. Taylor Swift basically decided we weren’t busy enough and has been dropping surprise after surprise. 😂
It started Tuesday with that mysterious countdown timer. Once it hit zero, we learned that “Patient Zero” was coming Friday, September 25! And naturally, Swifties immediately started dissecting everything.
Then Wednesday brought another surprise: The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore, an expanded version of the album featuring four brand-new songs: “Patient Zero,” “Cleveland!,” “Pink Clouding” and “Babylon.” And yes, they all drop Friday.
And just when we thought we could take a breath… 13 seconds of the “Patient Zero” music video.
The teaser debuted Thursday on CBS Mornings, and there is A LOT packed into those 13 seconds. We got glimpses of Taylor alongside Dakota Johnson and Colin Farrell, plus some seriously mysterious scenes involving a grave, water, tears and a very cinematic-looking house. Taylor is also directing the video, with Oscar-winning cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki behind the camera.
And here’s the big thing: we don’t get the full music video Friday. We have to wait until Sunday, when “Patient Zero” will make its world premiere during the 2026 MTV VMAs on September 27.
As a huge Swiftie, I am absolutely loving this rollout. Tuesday: countdown. Wednesday: four new songs. Thursday: 13-second music video teaser. Friday: NEW TAYLOR MUSIC. Sunday: THE FULL MUSIC VIDEO.
Taylor really said happy Swiftmas and gave us an entire week of content. 😂
And yes, I will be watching those 13 seconds approximately 1,300 times before Sunday.
