I had to laugh at myself watching the Jonas Brothers take over the NFL halftime show last night because I was NOT a Jonas Brothers girl when they first came on the scene. But somehow, all these years later, I am fully obsessed. 😂
The brothers took the stage during the 49ers vs. Rams game in Melbourne for the NFL’s first-ever regular-season game in Australia, performing a quick six-minute set that included “Burnin’ Up,” “Sucker,” “Listen When Sad,” “Year 3000” and a very fun surprise: a cover of Australian classic “You’re the Voice” by John Farnham.
And honestly? The nostalgia got me. There is just something about hearing “Burnin’ Up” and “Year 3000” that immediately transports me back to the late 2000s. The fact that I didn’t fully appreciate the Jonas Brothers back then and now find myself genuinely excited every time they pop up is a little embarrassing… but here we are.
Also, Joe Jonas deserves some credit for even making it to the stage. He had travel issues getting to Australia and actually missed a flight, but thankfully made it in time for the performance. Because imagine missing the Jonas Brothers’ NFL halftime show because of a flight?! 😅
The show may have only been six minutes, but for this newly converted Jonas Brothers fan, I’ll take it. Consider me officially Team Jonas. 💕
