POST FALLS, Idaho — Post Falls Police arrested a 42-year-old man following a two-hour standoff at his residence Wednesday evening.
Curtis Moreland was wanted for a robbery and grand theft that occurred in Post Falls the night before. Moreland threatened a taxicab driver and stole the taxi, according to police.
Officers and detectives with the Post Falls Police Department conducted surveillance on Moreland at his residence shortly before 6 p.m. on August 19th. When officers located him, the Post Falls Police Special Response Team was called to the scene to assist with the arrest.
Moreland initially refused to exit his residence, prompting a standoff that lasted approximately two hours. However, he eventually surrendered.
Police took Moreland into custody and booked him at the Kootenai County Jail.
