SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane Valley Deputies arrested two people after they attempted to use a credit card belonging to people who were displaced by the Eagle Rock apartment fire.
The people explained that they had been displaced by the fire and had been living elsewhere. They received text alerts from their bank regarding credit card purchases at local stores totaling over $680.00.
The victims stated the stolen credit card was taken from their fire-damaged apartment.
Deputies identified two suspects as 41-year-old Dallas E. Ricks and 44-year-old Crystal L. Gardner.
On August 8, 2026, at approximately 2:40 a.m., a Deputy saw a white Chevrolet Colorado at a gas station in the 2100 block of N. Pines Road with the suspects. The Deputy detained them.
They admitted they did not have permission to possess or use the victim’s credit card.
This remains an active investigation.
