So, get this: An 8-year-old in Ohio went on a serious adventure this past Sunday. Her parents hadn’t seen her for a few hours, and they were understandably freaked out. But when they finally tracked her down, she was basically living her best life.
Turns out, the little explorer had hopped into the family SUV and set off on a mini-road trip. Security footage shows her cruising away, and the cops eventually found her about 12 miles from home. Yep, that’s at least a 20-minute drive with all the highway and surface street action.
And where did she end up? At a Starbucks inside a Target, sipping on a Frappuccino like she was just hanging out on a lazy Sunday. The police let her finish her drink before taking her back home. (I mean, priorities, right?)
But wait, there’s more! The girl had over $400 in cash on her and had spent some of it at Target. The cops made the store refund her purchases, but the details of her shopping spree remain a mystery.
Now, there are a bunch of head-scratchers here. Like, how did the barista and the Target clerk just let an 8-year-old make a purchase alone? And seriously, how did she manage to navigate to Target? Parking at a Target is a struggle for adults, let alone a kid!
The good news is everyone’s safe. The little adventurer did admit to bumping into a mailbox on her way. Since she’s so young, she won’t face any criminal charges. Her parents haven’t said anything yet, but you can bet they’ll have a story to tell about this wild day!
