Oh my gosh, okay, so you will not believe who Ariana Grande is hanging out with again.
Remember Ricky Alvarez? Her backup dancer ex from literally a decade ago? Yep, that Ricky.
According to sources, they are officially back together! They’re apparently taking things super slow because Ari is busy on her Eternal Sunshine tour, but he’s been hanging out with her family and showing up to support her on the road. This all comes right on the heels of her splitting up with her Wicked co-star, Ethan Slater, a few months ago.
But here is the absolute best part: Ari basically confirmed the rumors herself on stage in NYC! During her performance of “Thank U, Next”—you know, the song where she famously sings, “Wrote some songs about Ricky / Now I listen and laugh”—she literally changed the lyrics on the fly.
Instead, she sang:
“Wrote some songs about Ricky / We always find our way back.”
Naturally, the crowd went absolutely wild.
They’ve already been spotted grocery shopping together in Florida over the 4th of July and celebrating her birthday in Texas, so it looks like they really are finding their way back to each other. Honestly, we love a full-circle moment!
