If you need a quick reason to smile today, we’ve got you covered.
Following the incredibly sad news of screen legend Sam Neill’s passing at age 78, his Jurassic World Dominion co-star Bryce Dallas Howard shared a beautiful, behind-the-scenes tribute that is giving fans everywhere all the feels.
While filming the 2022 blockbuster, the cast lived together in a tight-knit hotel “bubble” for four and a half months during the pandemic. And honestly? It sounds like it was absolute magic. Howard described Neill as “exactly who you hoped he’d be—funny, warm, wickedly self-deprecating, and endlessly kind.”
But the absolute crown jewel of her tribute is a video of the original legacy trio.
In it, you get to see Sam Neill, Laura Dern, and Jeff Goldblum crowded around a piano, casually harmonizing to the Beatles’ classic “Blackbird” while Goldblum plays the keys. Seeing Dr. Alan Grant, Dr. Ellie Sattler, and Dr. Ian Malcolm just hanging out and singing together is the pure, wholesome content we all need right now.
It’s a beautiful reminder of the tight “Jurassic family” they built over three decades, and it proves that Neill’s passion for life—and his costars—was unmatched.
