SPOKANE, Wash. — The Boys & Girls Clubs of Spokane County’s Northtown Club was broken into early Thursday morning after intruders forced their way into an older section of the building.
According to a social media post from the organization, the burglars kicked in a dead-bolted door and stole at least 40 tablets, along with other items used to support youth programs at the club.
In a social media post, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Spokane County said, “Our purpose in this community is to provide youth with a safe, positive place to be. Unfortunately, situations like this take essential resources away from these kids.”
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Spokane County continues to assess the damage and determine what additional items may have been taken during the break-in.
Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact local law enforcement.
