COEUR D’ALENE, Idaho — Raising Cane’s, the popular chicken spot, is opening its first location in the Lake City on Tuesday.
The doors open at 9 a.m., but as of 5 a.m., dozens of fans are already lined up for the grand opening.
The restaurant is located off U.S 95 and W. Neider Ave, across the street from Red Lobster.
According to Raising Cane’s, the first 20 people in line will receive free chicken for a year, and the first 100 will receive other prizes.
Brandon Clearwaters started waiting in line on Monday around noon to be the first person in line on Tuesday morning. He says he is from Coeur d’Alene and is a huge Raising Cane’s fan visiting locations all across the country.
Coeur d’Alene Police say they are prepared for any traffic impacts the grand opening may cause and will have officers on hand.
This is the second Raising Cane’s location in the Inland Northwest. The first opened in North Spokane in September and drew massive crowds and lines for days.
