Hello there! We are under a Weather Alert tonight through Thursday morning due to dangerous winds across our region.
On Wednesday, we’ll see a widespread rain/snow mix. Precipitation will be consistent through at least Saturday. A High Wind Warning is in effect for much of the area from 8 p.m. tonight through Thursday morning, with sustained winds up to 40 mph and dangerous gusts that could exceed 65 mph. Make sure to clear your yard of any loose items or debris.
Heavy snow is also impacting our mountain passes, where we expect feet of snow in the higher elevations. Both Lookout Pass and Snoqualmie Pass are under Winter Storm Warnings, with heavy snow expected today and continuing through at least Saturday. The northern Cascades are under a Blizzard Warning tonight. If possible, avoid traveling over the passes tonight.
Over the next 7 days, we’ll see consistent shower activity, with periods of snow, a rain/snow mix, and rain through the weekend. Temperatures will gradually warm as we head into next week. By St. Patrick’s Day on Tuesday, we could see a return to high temperatures near 60°.
Be safe!
