SPOKANE, Wash. — Police are investigating a possible drive-by shooting that occurred in Spokane’s West Central neighborhood near West Maxwell and North Ash.
Police say the suspect allegedly sped out of the area in a Ford pickup truck. Witnesses who saw the ensuing chase said they saw a damaged police cruiser just west of Spokane Falls Community College, and about 15 police cars in pursuit.
Police confirmed the suspect was detained near West Kiernan Avenue and North Hemlock Street, just east of Audubon Park.
The investigation remains active, and authorities expect to release additional information soon. Police have not released details about potential injuries or circumstances surrounding the possible shooting.
