LEWISTON, Idaho — A Lewiston man died Thursday night after his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree on Juniper Drive.
Jack Caldwell, 49, was driving southbound on Juniper Drive when his vehicle left the road on the west side and hit a tree in the 2900 block, according to Lewiston Police.
The crash occurred at approximately 11:35 p.m. on Jan. 29, prompting a response from Lewiston Police and Fire departments.
Officers and medics performed life-saving measures at the scene before Caldwell was transported by ambulance to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. He died from his injuries at the hospital.
The Lewiston Police Department’s Major Collision Investigation Team is conducting an ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Juniper Drive was closed for approximately two hours while investigators processed the scene.
No additional details about the cause of the crash have been released as the investigation continues.
