A fresh leadership chapter has begun at Atlantic Music Group (AMG) with the appointment of veteran executive Kevin Weaver to the newly established role of President. Announced this week, the move signals a strategic expansion for Weaver, who will now influence operations across the broader AMG portfolio, including Atlantic Records, 300 Entertainment, and 10K Projects. Reporting directly to CEO Elliot Grainge, his new remit extends beyond his historical focus on film to encompass gaming initiatives, brand alignments, and strategic partnerships.
The promotion validates Weaver’s three-decade journey at the label, where he famously transformed the soundtrack department into a central pillar of Atlantic’s cultural identity. He was the driving force behind global phenomena like “Barbie The Album” and The Greatest Showman, overseeing projects that have moved over 50 million units and generated 65 billion streams. This elevation reflects a “platform-first” strategy, positioning AMG to pioneer new music discovery through cross-media integration.
