Grant County, WASH. — The Grant County Sheriff’s office is investigating a deadly crash that happened Monday night near George.
First responders were called around 10:40 p.m. to the 11900 block of Frenchman Hills Road Southwest. Investigators say 22-year-old David Trinidad of Othello was driving a 2015 Ford Mustang when he lost control of the car. Deputies say he overcorrected, causing the car to crash next to a tree and irrigation pond.
GCSO says Trinidad died at the scene. His passenger, 22-year-old Melany Campos of Othello, was transported by air ambulance to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland.
Investigators say high speed contributed to this collision.
