MEAD, Wash. — A woman was hit and killed by a school bus near Mead High School on Monday evening.
According to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office, the woman was trying to cross West Hastings Road at the crosswalk around 5:10 p.m. on Monday.
The woman was then hit by a Mead School District bus.
She was taken to the hospital, but died from her injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
The Sheriff’s Office says impairment and speed do not appear to be factors in this crash.
