SPOKANE, Wash. — SpokAnimal says it is still offering clinic appointments despite the temporary closure currently in place due to a pneumonia outbreak among dogs at the shelter.

According to SpokAnimal, the affected animals are being completely quarantined and will not effect operations at the clinic. The clinic will be open for appointments like normal.
The respiratory virus is not contagious to cats and cats are still up for adoption.
“So far, everyone is alive,” said executive director Dori Peck. “We still have a couple really sick ones but we’re working really, really hard to save them.”
