WALLACE, Idaho — Idaho Governor Brad Little released a statement following a shooting at the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office on Friday afternoon.
According to the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office, the shooter fired at a car and shot two women in the leg. Both had minor injuries. He then entered the Sheriff’s Office lobby and began shooting. A deputy was nicked in the ear by one of the gunshots.
The suspect was shot and killed around 4:15 p.m. by a law enforcement officer.
“Please keep the innocent victims of the Wallace shooting in your prayers. ISP is mobilized and on scene to lead the investigation,” Gov. Little said. “Idaho is deeply grateful to the many law enforcement officers who responded so quickly to a highly dangerous situation. Idaho backs the blue!”
