SPOKANE, Wash – The holidays are bringing new life and new support to one of Spokane’s most historic homes.
As the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture prepares for its annual Campbell House Holiday Open House, the museum is also announcing a major donation dedicated to preserving the Campbell House. The announcement is being made during a press event today at 11:30 a.m.
The donation comes just ahead of the popular holiday event, which runs December 18 through 21 and invites visitors to step back into 1910 Spokane.
During the open house, the Campbell House feels anything but quiet. Historical interpreters portray members of the Campbell family and their household staff including Amasa and Helen Campbell, Swedish cook Hulda Olsen and her helper Sevia Strand, and coachman Joseph Rainsberry.
Guests can also sample Hulda’s famous sugar cookies, take part in a family-friendly scavenger hunt, and tour the historic home.
The Campbell House is located at the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture at 2316 West 1st Avenue.
Tickets are available at northwestmuseum.org.
