SPOKANE, Wash. — A Spokane man was sentenced to almost 16 years to life in prison for raping an 11-year-old child.
According to the Spokane County Prosecutor’s Office, 57-year-old Elisha S. Marsh was sentenced on Friday to 189 months to life for three counts of rape of a child in the first degree.
Court documents say in November of last year, the victim’s father discovered Marsh and the child on a bed in a North Spokane home. All three lived together at the home at the time.
The victim told their father that Marsh had been sexually abusing her for about a year.
Marsh pleaded guilty to all three counts of rape in October of this year.
On top of the prison sentence, Marsh was also sentenced to a lifetime of community custody, he must register as a sex offender for life, and a lifetime sexual assault protection order for the victim.
