SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. — Spokane Valley deputies arrested a convicted felon early Friday morning after responding to reports of a burglary in progress, according to police.
Brandon M. Ferguson, 31, was found pushing a shopping cart in a business’s fenced lot on East Sprague Avenue at 1:10 a.m. on Oct. 24, police said. Ferguson fled when deputies commanded him to stop but surrendered without force.
Ferguson told deputies he was homeless and entered through a gap in the fence, according to police.
During a search, deputies found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, police said.
Ferguson was booked into Spokane County Jail on charges of burglary, obstruction and drug possession, according to police.
His bond was set at $1,000.
