Sabrina Carpenter is seriously leaning into her country era.
@teamsabrina wide eyed and grinning cuz @The Chicks were last night’s surprise guests at @ACL Music Festival 😭😭😭💛 #sabrinacarpenter #teamsabrina #thechicks 🎥: @Respective Collective
At her Oct. 11 Austin City Limits show, she brought out The Chicks for a surprise collab on “Wide Open Spaces” and “Please Please Please.” Just a week earlier, she hit the same stage with Shania Twain to sing “That Don’t Impress Me Much.”
This all comes right after her Grand Ole Opry debut, where Sheryl Crow introduced her before she performed four songs — country-style, of course.
Carpenter may not call herself a country girl (she’s from a small town in Pennsylvania), but it’s clear she’s got country roots — even if she’s still ruling the pop world for now.
