SPOKANE, Wash. — People living in northwest Spokane may lose power today in order to mitigate wildfire risk.
Avista says a Public Safey Power Shutoff is likely in the North Indian Trail, Nine Mile Falls, and Five Mile Prairie neighborhoods.
According to Avista, fire risk is high today in that area and the utility may be forced to shut off power to almost 1,200 customers.
Avista says it is continuing to assess conditions.
