SPOKANE, Wash. — A new festival celebrating African American culture through food, music and community connections will debut Saturday in downtown Spokane.
Soulfood & Sips 2025 will run from noon to 7 p.m. on Wall Street between Spokane Falls Boulevard and Post Street.
The free event features soul food, Southern barbecue, French Creole and Ethiopian cuisine alongside live reggae, gospel, hip-hop and jazz performances.
The festival includes an African American history booth, craft vendors, a children’s play area and a beer and wine garden.
“Soulfood & Sips is more than just a food and music festival, it’s an opportunity to come together, embrace our differences, and celebrate community,” said Julie Serquinia, organizer with Educate, Entertain & Get Stuff Done.
Numerica Credit Union sponsors the festival through the Downtown Spokane Partnership’s Mini Cultural Event Grant program.
