STEVENS COUNTY, Wash. — Firefighters are continuing to gain control of a wildfire burning on the Spokane Reservation on Thursday evening, according to Stevens County Fire District 1.
Around 5 p.m. on August 20, firefighters responded to a visible smoke column on the Spokane Reservation, near the Cottonwood area.
SCFD1 said on Wednesday night the fire was burning at about 80 acres and threatening multiple buildings.
As of 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, SCFD1 said the fire was 75% lined and aircrafts had been released.
Crews are continuing to contain the fire on Thursday.
