MOSCOW, Idaho — UPDATED 10:55 p.m., August 20 – Moscow Police have lifted the shelter-in-place advisory issued earlier on Wednesday night.
MPD arrested one man after a SWAT standoff near South Roosevelt Street and 3rd Street.
MPD said the area is now secure and no other threats have been found.
No further information about the man who barricaded himself or the SWAT standoff was provided.

UPDATE 9:55 p.m., August 20 – Moscow police said one man is in custody following the SWAT response to the area of South Roosevelt Street and 3rd Street.
MPD said law enforcement is still active in and around the scene and people in the area should continue to shelter in place until further notice.

A shelter-in-place order is in effect in part of Moscow on Wednesday evening, according to Moscow Police Department.
Around 8 p.m. on August 20, MPD reported multiple police responding to the area of South Roosevelt Street and 3rd Street.
MPD did not provide any details about why police are in the area.
Police said people should avoid the area and anyone in the area should shelter in place.
