DEER PARK, Wash. – Traffic Unit investigators with the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office are looking into a fatal, one-car crash that killed one man early Monday morning.
SCSO responded to the scene around 5:30 a.m. near Westmoreland Rd. and Perry Rd. where they found a man laying in a field about 25-30 yards away from his car.
Investigators said it appears that the car was speeding when it ran a stop sign on E Westmoreland, left the road, went into a nearby field, and rolled several times.
The driver was ejected from the car and investigators said speed and failure to wear a seatbelt are contributing factors in this crash.
The name of the driver and official cause and manner of death have not been released.
