HAYDEN, Idaho — Deputies are investigating a homicide in Hayden and are still searching for a suspect.
Kootenai County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the intersection of North Hamlet Trail off North Triangle 7 Road in Hayden on Monday just before 2 p.m. This is an area northeast of Hayden Lake.
KCSO says the man who called 911 found an injured man on his property and blood on the front porch of his home. KCSO says the injured man sustained traumatic injuries and was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim was identified as 35-year-old Kenneth B. Caldero of Kootenai County.
In a press release, KCSO says deputies, along with a K-9, drone, SWAT team members and Coeur d’Alene Police Officers, searched the home where the victim was found and the surrounding area for any other victims and or possible suspects. No other victims or suspects were found.
