PULLMAN, Wash. – Heading into his fourth year of college football and fourth fall camp, first-year tight end Hudson Cedarland says his confidence is at an all-time high.
It’s a stark contrast to the end of last season, when he says he was ready to throw in the towel after a three-year college career as a linebacker.
“I didn’t really know what football had left for me,” Cedarland said.
But heading into camp with Jimmy Rogers and the rest of the WSU staff is the most confident he’s felt going into fall practice. Cedarland said it’s because of the support from top to bottom during his transition to tight end.
Coach Rogers said he’s seen an exponential amount of growth for Cedarland this fall.
“I’m sure glad he stayed because he’s carving a role for himself right now,” Rogers said.
WSU just wrapped up their second week of fall practice. They have one more week of camp before classes begin and they start prepping for the Idaho Vandals on August 30.
