HOPE, Idaho — Firefighters are still working on containment for a growing wildfire near Hope, Idaho.
According to the Selkirk Fire Department, the Lightning Creek Fire is now over 2,100 acres with no containment. The lightning-caused fire is burning about eight miles northeast of Hope.
Fire crews will continue to build containment lines Tuesday. The fire still has a lot of potential and will continue to be a risk until those containment lines are built.
Lightning Creek Road is closed between Trestle Creek Road and Regal Creek.
No evacuations are currently in place.
