SPOKANE, Wash. — Neighbors across Spokane are coming together for a fun-filled evening meant to build community on Tuesday evening.
August 5 is Spokane’s 42nd Annual National Night Out.
NNO is an annual community-building event that brings together neighborhoods and police departments for a positive, family-friendly event.
Across the country, neighborhoods hosts block parties, festivals, parades and BBQs where neighbors and local first responders can meet each other and celebrate community.
One of downtown Spokane’s biggest events of the year, the party takes place on Wall Street, between Main Avenue and Spokane Falls until 7 p.m.
Multiple NNO parties are happening across Spokane Tuesday night. Six of them are officially sponsored by neighborhood councils:
– Peaceful Valley at the river walk park under the Maple St. Bridge
– Minnehaha Park
– West Hills in Whittier park
– Riverside at Wall St. between Spokane Falls and Main
– West Central in A.M. Cannon Park
– Comstock in Manito at the United Methodist Church
