STEVENS COUNTY, Wash. — Firefighters battling the Lake Spokane Fire near Tum Tum will begin demobilizing as they get a handle on the wildfire.
The Lake Spokane Fire is now 100% contained at approximately 2,500 acres, or 4 square miles.
Firefighters say smoke will still be visible as the fire burns materials in the fire line. People are asked to not call 911 if they see it.
Level 1 and 2 evacuations, meaning people should be ready to leave if conditions change, are still in effect and Stevens County Emergency Management will provide updates when those change.
