SPOKANE, Wash. — Over a dozen guns were seized during an illegal firearm trafficking investigation in Spokane County on Tuesday.
According to Spokane Police, officers served search warrants at two different locations as part of this investigation after detectives learned of the illegal gun sales in the area.
One address was in northwest Spokane while the other was just north of Deer Park. The warrants were given out with the help of multiple involved agencies around 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Detectives confiscated 17 guns, over $10,000 in cash and a large amount of Xanax pills as part of the search warrants.
Of the 17 guns seized, two were ghost guns and 13 were handguns.
SPD says the investigation is ongoing.
