On January 2, police went to Angela Andreas-Miller’s (54) unit at the Basalt Ridge Apartments on W. 6th Ave. to serve a search warrant.
According to court documents, Andreas-Miller was known to law enforcement to have a history of mental health challenges and illegal drug use.
Once they entered her apartment, police said they encountered her in the doorway of the master bedroom in a towel, yelling unintelligibly, and saying she had just gotten out of the shower.
Once Andreas-Miller was safely cuffed, police said they found eight homemade explosive devices throughout her apartment and in her vehicle.
Investigators said at first, she told them some men who lived there must’ve been responsible for the devices.
When detectives pointed to notes, written in her handwriting, about how to make bombs, she said she was writing a book about a U.S. Marshal, and that the notes were part of her research.
