SPOKANE, Wash. — Three construction projects are beginning in Spokane next week.
Work on the Sprague Avenue and Alki-Broadway Avenue grind and overlay project will start on Monday, July 28. This project will revamp the road as well as include ADA ramp upgrades and selected stormwater improvements.
Broadway Avenue/Alki Way from Havana Street to Freya Street will be closed. Drivers are urged to use Sprague Avenue and Trent Avenue and should expect traffic delays.
This project is expected to last through November.
Work will also begin on Maple Street and Walnut Street between 5th Avenue and the Maple Street Bridge on Monday. This project will include a grind and overlay of the pavement, curb ramp upgrades and sidewalk widening.
The curb lanes of Maple Street and Walnut Street will be closed between 2nd Avenue and 5th Avenue during this project. Drivers in the area should expect traffic delays.
Work on this project is expected to go through October.
Finally, grind and overlay work will begin on Division Street from 4th Avenue to 7th Avenue on Tuesday, July 29. Lane closures will be in place during construction.
Drivers should expect delays in the area. This project is expected to wrap up by August 6.
