SPOKANE, Wash. — Multiple construction projects will begin throughout Spokane starting Monday.
Over 3,000 feet of water main along South Freya Street between 13th Avenue and 21st Avenue. Work will also include street surface repairs and ADA-compliant curb ramps.
During construction, South Freya Street in that area will be closed, but local access will be maintained for people living in the area.
Harston Avenue, South Ray Street and East 29th Avenue will be used for detours in both directions.
The South Freya Street project is expected to be completed in October.
On South Lincoln Street between 19th Avenue and 29th Avenue, crews will be removing swale plantings and replacing them with new plants.
Work on this project will be done intermittently on weekdays throughout the summer. Flaggers will be on site to help direct traffic when needed.
Traffic delays should be expected. Pedestrian detours will be in place when work blocks the sidewalks.
