SPOKANE, Wash. — A man died after falling off an electric scooter and being hit by a semi truck early Saturday morning.
According to Spokane Police, the man and his friend were riding on an electric scooter on the sidewalk near Division and Dalton around 2:20 a.m. Saturday.
The victim, who was riding on the back, lost his balance and fell onto the road. The other man fell back toward the area of the sidewalk.
As the victim fell into the road, a semi-truck driving on Division Street hit him.
The semi truck driver stopped to try and help. First responders came out to try and help as well, but the man was declared dead at the scene.
SPD said the semi truck driver was cooperative and no signs of impairment were found.
