SPOKANE, Wash. – One of Spokane’s most recognizable nature attractions is getting some love from HGTV.
In an article titled “50 States of Public Parks, Gardens, Arboretums and Nature Centers” the website highlights Manito Park’s five gardens, conservatory, fountain, stone bridge and duck pond.
Manito Park was officially established in April 1904 when 95 acres of land was donated to the city. It remains a popular attraction for visitors.
The park consists of 78 acres of native and cultivated landscape as well as 20 acres dedicated to botanical gardens.
Spokane Parks and Recreation said Manito Park is one of the most diverse horticultural displays in the nation and toured by over 150 thousand visitors annually.
