SPOKANE COUNTY, Wash. — The Spokane County Commissioners proclaimed July 17 as Lawrence H. Haskell Appreciation Day.
Haskell was first elected as the county’s Prosecuting Attorney in November of 2014. Last month, he announced he is officially retiring from the role effective on July 18.

Haskell started working with the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office in 1998 and prosecuted crimes ranging from unlawful firearms cases to crimes committed by and against gang members in Spokane County.
Haskell also served in the United States Air Force. He also served on the Airway Heights City Council and on the Board of Directors at the Cheney School District.
