NORTHPOST, Wash. — The Northwest Incident Management Team will update the public on a wildfire burning in Stevens County tonight.
According to firefighters, a community meeting will be held at Lyn Kaste Gould Memorial Park in Northport tonight at 6 p.m.
The Hope Fire has burned about 11 square miles and is 15% contained.
Incident command says Monday’s winds increased fire activity in particular to the north.
Crews will battle the fire on the northside near Cougar Mountain and constructing fire lines where they can today.
