LINCOLN COUNTY, Wash. — Fire officials downgraded all Level 2 (GET SET) evacuations to Level 1 (BE READY) for the nearly 6,000-acre fire burning just north of Davenport on Sunday, according to Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
As of Sunday afternoon, both Level 1 (BE READY) and Level 3 (GO NOW) evacuations are in place for the Western Pines Fire, which has burned over nine square miles of land.
LCSO said, although evacuation levels have been downgraded, people in the area still need to be vigilant, as potential winds and high temperatures still pose significant fire risk.
All people in the area under Level 2 (BE SET) evacuations, must be ready to leave at a moment’s notice.

Fire officials said Sunday the fire is still at 0% containment, but that fire crews were able to move closer to the interior of the fire on Saturday, thanks to decreased burning on the fire perimeter.
LCSO said crews are focusing on re-enforcing existing fire lines and beginning mop-up on the perimeter. Structure protection teams are working to decrease risk and patrol for any hot spots.
Anyone within the Level 3 (GO NOW) evacuation area (seen in red on the map), must leave immediately for their safety.
