BOUNDARY COUNTY, Idaho — UPDATED at 6:30 p.m. on July 13 – Evacuees from the wildfire burning near Naples, Idaho on Sunday will not return to their homes Sunday night, according to Boundary County Emergency Management.
Around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, BCEM said the fire, also known as the Clover Fire, is still burning and at risk of spreading due to high winds.
Both Level 3 (GO NOW) and Level 2 (GET SET) evacuations are still in place for those in the area.
Evacuees in need of shelter can go to the Boundary County Fairgrounds. The American Red Cross will be operating the evacuation shelter in Memorial Hall.
Livestock can also be evacuated to the fairgrounds, but pets are not allowed in the shelter.
BCEM said aircrafts and ground crews are working to contain the fire with retardant and that powerlines near the fire have been de-energized for safety. Some people living near the area may be without power until at least tomorrow.
As of 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Deep Creek Loop from Schoolhouse Road to Highland Flats is closed to through traffic. Only residents will be allowed through.

Police and fire crews are responding to a wildfire near Naples, Idaho on Sunday afternoon.
Around 3 p.m., Boundary County Emergency Management reported Level 3 (GO NOW) evacuations are in place for people living in the area north of the Alta Mill and south of Sandy Ridge Road. Level 2 (GET SET) evacuations are in place for those within one mile north of Sandy Ridge Road.
Search and Rescue teams are going door to door in the area to advise of the evacuations.
As of 4 p.m., the fire is estimated to be burning on between 5-10 acres. The fire broke out on a log deck and spread to nearby grass and is now burning north of the log deck.
One shed is confirmed lost, but it is unknown if any other structures have been burned. No injuries have been reported.
BCEM said crews are responding from Idaho Department of Lands, South Boundary Fire District, Boundary County Sheriff’s Office and Bonner County.
The cause of the fire is unknown.
