STEVENS COUNTY, Wash. — UPDATED on July 13 at 12:30 p.m. – Level 1 (BE READY) evacuations were lifted Saturday night for the wildfire burning near Deer Lake and Loon Lake, according to Stevens County Emergency Management.
As of 8 p.m. on July 12, the fire was 25% contained and crews were continuing to work on controlling the flames.

A wildfire broke out Saturday afternoon near Deer Lake.
According to Stevens County Emergency Management, the fire is on the eastside of the lake and people are asked to avoid the area.
SCEM says people should be advised aircraft are supporting.
According to Stevens County Fire District 1, the fire is burning approximately 50 acres. Level 1 evacuations are in place meaning people should be aware of the fire in the area.
